I’m a true “slasher”, driven by curiosity and a wide range of experiences that blend international cooperation, human resources, management, education, technology and tourism. Travel has been part of my identity for as long as I can remember. After growing up in a family of travelers, I started exploring the world on my own at the age of 14. Since then, I have embraced many different ways of traveling : volunteering, woofing, road trips, city breaks, shaolin immersion program, cruising, bike tours, wine expeditions, professional workshops, hiking, bivouacking and even canoe and boat trips, and much more are coming. For me, travel is not only about discovering new places; it is an opportunity to reinvent yourself, gain new perspectives, and grow through meaningful encounters. For the past two years, I have been working as a travel coordinator, designing, leading and facilitating groups around the world with one mission : creating exceptional human connections through adventure. My life is an adventure, come join me !

Their expertise · Through my multicutural background and my passion for experiential travel, I’m able to guide solo travelers as well as families, groups of friends, and adventurers seeking meaning. I particularly enjoy helping those who want to venture off the beaten path, have authentic experiences, and connect with local cultures. My expertise includes solo travel, adventure travel, immersive experiences, itineraries, trips that combine cultural discovery and personal growth, as well as organizing group trips. I use to manage everything from A to B. My goal is to design trips that go beyond a simple itinerary and become true human adventures. Also passionate about innovation, I’ve developed a travel application that centralizes all the practical tools needed for a trip and includes an immersive game to transform every itinerary into a truly memorable experience. I’d be delighted to share these features with new travelers !

I’m Chiara, a licensed tour guide and architect with a deep knowledge of Sicily and its unique urban identity. My background in architecture allows me to read the city in a different way, going beyond monuments and landmarks to understand how spaces, history, and people are deeply connected. Palermo is a city of layers, and I love unveiling them through stories, details, and hidden corners that are often overlooked. Over the years, I have explored Sicily extensively, both professionally and personally, developing a strong connection with its neighborhoods, its culture, and its everyday life. I don’t just guide tours. I create experiences that help travellers feel the true spirit of the city. From vibrant markets to quiet alleys, from street art to historical architecture, I aim to show a Palermo that is authentic, dynamic, and full of contrasts. My goal is to make every traveler feel like a local, even if just for a few hours.

Their expertise · What I offer is more than just information, it’s a thoughtful and authentic way to plan your experience in Palermo. Through personalised advice, recommendations, and local insights, I help you design an itinerary that truly reflects the city’s identity and your own travel style. Whether you’re looking for must-see highlights or hidden corners, I provide guidance on what to visit, how to visit it, and when, so you can make the most of your time in Palermo. My background allows me to offer a deeper reading of the city, not only pointing you towards places, but helping you understand their meaning, their context, and how they connect within Palermo’s unique urban and cultural fabric. From historic streets to vibrant markets, from street art to everyday life, I’ll guide you in building a coherent and enriching experience, even before you arrive. I also focus on helping you create memorable moments through your own journey: recommending local food experiences, authentic spots, and alternative routes that go beyond the standard paths. My goal is simple: to help you feel connected to Palermo, not just as a visitor, but as someone who truly understands and experiences the city.

I've travelled 127 countries in the world since I left home at the age of 17. I am Puglian, Mediterranean, Italian and citizen of this Planet Earth. Since 2021 I have been based again in my home region of Puglia. Their expertise · Beyond being an expert local guide, I am also a custodian of our land, with a passion for gastronomy, wine and above all, how we produce in harmony and respect with terra madre. I am an experienced sommelier of wine, olive oil and gratefully thanks to my mother, an authority on our best local flavours. If you desire an experience of Puglia that reaches deeper than the photos and checklists of must-see sights, it is my pleasure to share my knowledge and perspectives. It is my intention to share experiences that go beyond the typical guidebook to give you a true sense of what makes Puglia (and Italy) unique and to create memories of a lifetime. I was born in the picturesque village of San Quirico, located in the hills between the Chianti Classico and Chianti Colli Fiorentini regions. I spent my childhood and early youth there until my schooling and university took me to Florence. In the area, I always experienced the typical way of life of these places, taking part in village festivals, sagre and exhibitions that brought something new and promoted the area; but this wasn’t limited to where I was born, but extended to many parts of Tuscany. Thanks to the friendships I’ve built over the years, I’ve been able to broaden my horizons and get to know the region even more deeply: termal springs, hiking, wild camping, local specialities and hidden gems hard to find on any social media platform, exhibitions and events.

Their expertise · • Advice on outdoor experiences and hiking across Tuscany. I’m familiar with key stages along tipical trails ( like Via Francigena and Cammino degli Dei), including scenic viewpoints, local stops, and lesser-known highlights that elevate the overall experience. • Seasonality-driven exploration, with hands-on knowledge of when and where to find local, wild, and seasonal products (e.g. foraging areas, harvest periods), enabling more authentic and time-specific travel experiences. • Design and discovery of outdoor activities, including hiking, wild camping, and off-the-beaten-path itineraries. I focus on uncovering hidden gems that are not easily found on mainstream platforms. • Strong awareness of environmentally valuable areas, supported by a background in Forestry Sciences. This allows me to approach tourism with a sustainability mindset and a deep understanding of local ecosystems. • Strong network and knowledge of small- to medium-scale local wineries, with the ability to connect travelers directly with producers for intimate, authentic wine tastings and behind-the-scenes experiences.

Advice that turned a great plan into an unforgettable holiday.

I'd done a lot of research before speaking to Isabella and she still managed to completely change my approach, in the best way. The tips she gave me on the consultation were so useful, and it was perfectly tailored to what we needed.

Kristine, we think you've nailed it already. We have options, and activities can be separated by age groups. We are so happy with your itinerary!

I had a free consultation with Francesca and then decided to have her review my itinerary. Even though my trip was organised at the very last minute, she managed to reorganise it perfectly, and we were able to see everything we wanted in the best possible way!

We booked a girls weekend to Paris but wanted inside knowledge on what to do. We had our itinerary reviewed by Sofia and got some great recommendations! A great mix of local hidden bars and clubs and some touristy must-see spots. Thank you!

Good to know

Things travellers ask.

Which path should I pick?

If you already know which local you want to work with, browse and book direct from their profile. It's the fastest way. If you'd rather have locals find you, especially helpful for less-mapped destinations or complex trips, get free quotes from locals.

How much does it cost?

Browsing locals is free. Getting quotes is free. You only pay when you choose a local and book a service. Most custom plans sit between $80 and $250, depending on trip length and the type of service.

How quickly will I get quotes?

Most travellers get offers within 48 hours. If you're travelling within the next two weeks, say so. Locals can usually respond same-day.

Do locals do my bookings for me?

No, and this is an important distinction. Our locals develop plans based on advice, recommendations and tips. What you do with that information is entirely up to you.

What's actually included in a plan?

It depends on the type of help you need. A quick tip session might be a video call. A full plan is a detailed document with recommendations pinned on a map, plus advice on accommodation, transport, weather, and culture.

Can I message my local during the trip?

Yes. Direct chat stays open before and during your trip. You can reach out to your local to clarify any of their services, reschedule any sessions or follow up on a tip they provided.

Why The Voyage Co

Local travel advice used to be a luxury. Not anymore.

For years, insider recommendations were locked behind five-star concierges and expensive agencies.

You already trust a friend's recommendation over any review site. Now you can trust a local who has walked these streets for years, and you hear back within hours, for a fraction of the old cost.

Thank you Rosa for providing us with very helpful guidance for our upcoming Puglia holiday. We loved your passion and so many "off-the-beaten-track" recommendations for restaurants, cafes, and beaches away from the busy tourist areas - exactly what we were looking for! There's no way we could have found this information ourselves online! Thank you!!

I wanted to see Rome through the lens of a local, and avoid getting caught up in the tourist zones. Given the whole city is one big archeological site, that's not easy to do. The local I met through The Voyage mapped out walking routes, where to eat, and where to hang out with locals. Made for a far richer experience.

I had a 45 minute consultation with Riccardo. I was looking for support for planning a trip to Puglia for a week with my partner. I knew that I wanted to explore a really specific region, but I wasn't sure where to go what to do or how to allocate my time. Riccardo gave me some really good insight into what he does as a local in Puglia and some recommendations about staying in one particular place and then exploring from there as my base. I appreciated the ability to cut through the noise and get quality advice fast! Thank you, Ricardo for sharing your local wisdom.
