I’m a licensed local guide based in Sicily, and I love helping travelers experience this island beyond the postcard version. For me, Sicily is not just a place of famous monuments and beautiful coastlines, but a living culture shaped by Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, and generations of proud locals. I enjoy introducing visitors to the Sicily I know and love: lively markets, layered history, unforgettable food, and the small everyday details that make a place feel real. I have guided travelers from around the world and always try to combine solid historical insight with a relaxed, personal approach. Gubbio, Assisi +13

Hello, I’m Debbie. I was born and raised near Milan, in Northern Italy, but my family roots are in Southern Italy. Growing up between these two worlds gave me a deep appreciation for the diversity, traditions, and unique character that make Italy such a fascinating country to explore. Travel has always been one of my greatest passions. Over the years, I’ve explored countless destinations both in Italy and abroad, traveling as a couple and on my own. These experiences taught me that the most memorable places are often not the ones featured on the front pages of travel guides. What sets me apart is my passion for finding authentic experiences away from the crowds. I love discovering hidden villages, peaceful countryside retreats, scenic routes, and lesser-known places where travelers can truly slow down and connect with their surroundings. I know the Lombardy region particularly well, including its beautiful lakes and many overlooked corners that most visitors never get to see. I also have extensive knowledge of regions such as Tuscany and Umbria, where I’ve collected unique recommendations, local experiences, and hidden gems that go beyond the typical tourist itinerary.

Eleonora

Palermo, Syracuse +10

Hello, I’m Eleonora. I was born in Tuscany, just outside Florence, where growing up surrounded by history, shaped my curiosity and love for art. I studied Art History at the University of Florence, specializing in the Renaissance. I began guiding students early on, and it was there that I developed a passion for storytelling — because there is nothing more challenging than engaging teenagers and young adults. I later expanded my focus to the broader history of Italy, leading groups throughout the country, from Venice to Sicily. Eventually, I moved to Rome, where I now work as an expert tour guide, leading visits to the city’s most iconic sites, including the Vatican and the Colosseum, as well as off the beaten path, to some of its hidden gems. In my free time I love to drive around Italy to its myriad hilltop medieval towns, where each one is a new discovery, both architectural and natural and also, of course, culinary! Over the years, many travelers have asked me for advice and suggestions to help plan the rest of their itineraries. That is why I’m happy to connect with you even before your trip begins, sharing my insights and helping you make the most of your time in Italy.

Syracuse, Taormina +4

Hi! I’m Stefania—but you can call me Ste 🌻 I’m a travel advisor born and raised in Noto, Sicily 🇮🇹 which basically means I grew up surrounded by baroque beauty, incredible food, and a very strong sense of what’s actually worth your time (and what’s not). I know the places that don’t show up on Google, the beaches you almost want to gatekeep, and the kind of local spots where you’ll still be thinking about the food months later. I also lived in Perugia for three years, which gave me a whole new perspective on Italy beyond the South. Add to that my travels, especially across the north of Spain and many Italian cities and you get someone who understands both sides: the traveller’s expectations and the local reality. So no, I won’t send you to the most “famous” place… I’ll send you to the right one!

Naples, Sorrento +6

I was born and raised in Pompeii, between Naples and Sorrento, with the whole region as my playground. On my scooter I could spend a morning on hidden beaches along the Sorrento and Amalfi Coasts, an afternoon in Naples' museums and streets, and an evening out in the city. Being local isn't just about the famous landmarks. It's about the rhythm of everyday life, the traditions that shape these communities, and the small details that make this corner of Italy special. I've travelled widely, and I speak Italian, English, and Portuguese. For seven years I've worked as a Tour Manager with American and international travel companies, learning what travellers look for in Italy, and the unspoken needs different cultures bring. History is everywhere here, and you don't need a local to admire it. What a local truly offers is access to experiences you'd never find in a guidebook. Everyone knows Pompeii, Positano, and pizza, and rightly so. But the real magic lies beyond the postcards. I love showing travellers the hidden side of Southern Italy: family-run wine bars in Naples' backstreets, secret viewpoints, authentic trattorias where locals gather, quiet beaches only insiders can find, and traditions passed down for generations.

Irene

Udine, Cividale del Friuli +5

My name is Irene, I have a master's degree in design but have been working in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. I'm half Slovenian, on my mother's side, while my father's work has allowed me to travel the world since I was little! I was born in Udine, in the heart of Friuli, but I've also lived in Berlin, Milan, and Modena. Yes, as a teenager, I wanted to escape my hometown because it felt too small, but as an adult, I wanted to return because I realized how special my entire region is, especially its borders! I have a special connection to Slovenia and consider Friuli a truly unique and strategic place for a wonderful vacation. My interests are varied: food, art, and the mountains are just the first that come to mind, and they're also the highlights of the area where I live! What I feel I can guarantee with my advice is definitely the authenticity of the experiences I offer! I'm also quite knowledgeable about western Sicily after almost 20 years of vacationing in Palermo.

My goal is to make every traveler feel like a local, even if just for a few hours.

Milan, Palermo

I’m a licensed Italian tour guide with over 20 years of experience, based in Milan and deeply connected to Palermo. I don’t just “know places”, I understand how they work, how they feel, and how to help you experience them in a way that makes sense for you. I’ve worked with international travelers, small groups, luxury clients, and independent explorers, so I know how different every journey can be. Milan is my daily life: I know its rhythms, its hidden corners, and how to navigate it beyond the obvious. Palermo is part of my roots and professional path, a city I know in depth, not only its beauty, but also its complexities. What most travelers miss? The balance between iconic highlights and the authentic experience of a place. I help you avoid stress, wasted time, and tourist traps, and instead build a trip that feels smooth, meaningful, and personal. I especially love working with curious travelers who want more than a checklist … people who want to understand, not just see.
