London
The best part of London isn't on the postcard. I’m a Canadian-born Londoner who has called this remarkable city home for more than two decades. What began as a fascination with British history and culture evolved into a professional and deeply personal connection with London’s streets, neighbourhoods, and communities. Today, I am a qualified Green Badge City of London Guide and have delivered more than 700 tours for private travellers, families, corporate groups, educational organisations, and VIP guests from around the world. I am also a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, giving me a unique perspective on the traditions, institutions, and history that continue to shape the city today. My speciality is helping travellers discover the London that many visitors miss: hidden courtyards, historic coffee houses, independent cafés, quiet lanes, markets, riverside walks, fascinating architecture, and the stories that bring these places to life. I have a particular passion for the City of London, where Roman remains, medieval churches, Georgian elegance, Victorian ambition, and modern skyscrapers exist side by side. I particularly enjoy helping curious travellers who want something more thoughtful and personal than a standard sightseeing itinerary. Whether you are travelling solo, as a couple, with family, or visiting for business, I can help you uncover experiences that match your interests and travel style. My approach is practical, conversational, and highly tailored. Some travellers seek help planning a memorable first visit, while others want specialist recommendations, hidden gems, or deeper cultural insight. My goal is always the same: to help you experience London not as a tourist, but as a temporary local. For me, London is far more than a collection of attractions—it is a living city best understood through its stories, people, and everyday details.

Paul
London
I'm Paul and I live in West London. Originally from Wales, I moved here 40 years ago and apart from a period in Boston MA I have lived here every since. After a long career in food I moved back into beer 14 years ago, working for Fuller's before setting up my beer event business AleHunters in 2018. I host and organise craft brewery tours, beer tastings, Belgian tours, education and contribute articles to UK and Belgian magazines. I am also an international beer judge and have judged at competitions across the world. For the past 40 years my family and I have continued to explore the streets and sights of our city. I have amassed a wealth of knowledge and also forged strong relationships across many sectors in business. Taking our dog for a walk through an unfamiliar neighbourhood, stopping for a beer or a bite to eat and continuing to explore is my perfect rest day. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and tips with you.

Dewi
London
Hi! My name's Dewi, and I've worked as a Tour Guide across the UK since 2013. Since 2022, I've been working with travel agents and agencies worldwide to help plan perfect trips to the UK, including London, The Cotswolds, Windsor, Bath, and Wales. I love helping travellers to make memories they'll cherish, and have the best possible time when visiting the UK. I'm a people person who loves helping travellers make the most of their trips, and I am always happy to recommend the best way to see famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, or hidden gems both in and out of ‘town'. Having been a guide for over 13 years, there aren’t many places in the UK I haven’t visited, and one of my favourite parts of the job is exploring new locations, visiting new sites, and sharing my research with people. As a passionate Welshman, I'm always keen to show the amazing sites that my homeland has to offer, and if you're curious about Cardiff or wish to see Wrexham, then I'm your man! In addition to working in the travel and tourism sector, I'm currently completing my PhD. My study examines how our experiences of place helps to create our sense of self.

Ceylin
London
I’m a London-based tour guide, creative, and storyteller with a background in fashion design, which shapes the way I see and experience the city. I’m originally from Turkey, and that mix of perspectives has given me a strong appreciation for how culture, identity, and creativity come together in a place like London. I’ve been living here for several years and explore the city daily through my work. I lead a range of tours including pub crawls, Jack the Ripper walks, and food tours across different areas of London. Through this, I’ve built a deep, practical understanding of the city, not just its history, but how it actually feels to move through it, eat in it, and experience it day to day. What most travellers miss is that London isn’t just about landmarks. It’s about the layers behind them. The migration stories of places like Brick Lane, the music and fashion history of Soho and Camden, and the hidden details in streets you might otherwise walk past. I love bringing those elements together in a way that feels engaging and easy to connect with. Alongside cultural and historical experiences, I’m also very happy to help with food recommendations, especially international cuisine, as well as pubs, nightlife, and local spots that aren’t always obvious. I can suggest budget-friendly options, day trips from London, and even lighter outdoor plans like walks and hiking nearby. I also keep up with events and festivals happening around the city, so I can help you catch what’s on while you’re here. Because of the nature of my work, I’m used to working with all kinds of travellers, from young solo travellers to couples, groups of friends, and families of all ages. I aim to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and tailor recommendations based on what you’re actually looking for, whether that’s something social, cultural, or more laid-back.

Maxine
London
Hi, there! I’m a London-based tour guide with 2 years of experience and over 15 years living in the city. I enjoy reading non-fiction, doing photoshoots with friends, hiking trails across London and exploring food markets – if I'm not walking for work, I'm usually walking on my time off! My academic background includes a BA in Comparative Literature (think all subjects within Humanities, wrapped up in studies across multiple languages, historical periods and media!) and an MA in Media and Communications. I also worked as a marketing executive for the travel sector for 2 years before leaving the industry to focus on a more front-facing role as a tour guide.

Bénédicte
London, Paris
Hi there! My name is Bénédicte, and I am a French guide in London. A true Anglophile, I studied English at the Sorbonne in Paris and then, Art History here in London. From British underground culture to London's industrial heritage, without leaving aside the painting masterpieces at the National Gallery and other museums, from major landmarks to more secret, hidden gems, my tours invite travellers to explore London and discover it as they have never seen it. Whether you would like to book a tour with me or simply review your programme, I will be able to help create a stay tailored to your interests, your travel style and your budget. As an art historian, I can assist in selecting which places to visit, what not to miss and is really worth seeing. As the mum of young ones, I also know that visiting a city with children can be challenging. I will be able to help you navigate London and arrange for stops at all the good family-friendly spots and attractions - and I can guarantee that these were personally tested and approved by my own children! If you feel like going further and booking a tour with me, my kids-friendly tours are specifically designed for younger visitors, with games, booklets, etc. Either way, I will be able to provide you with insights to make your stay enjoyable for the whole family. *Extra, extra!* Before I moved back to the UK four and a half years ago and created my guiding company, Arty Stories, I lived and worked in Paris (and Denmark, but that's another story!) on the art market, first at the auction house Christie's, and then at IDAIA's, an art gallery. I still go back to France regularly to visit my family, so if you are going to spend time in both London and Paris, I will be more than happy to support you in planning your trip, and give you my insider’s tips to make the most of your stay in the City of Light too - including croissant tasting! So, let's plan your London or Paris stay together!

London
My name is Paul and I am a born and bred Londoner. I have been a London Taxi driver since 2010 and a qualified tour guide since 2016. London has been an obsession for me since an early age. The vibrant culture, historic and modern buildings, over 2000 years of history. I love to play and watch live music. London has some amazing live venues, big and intimate. I also like travelling, mainly around the UK and Europe but as the children grow up we will definitely be spreading our travelling wings. Being a local and working in the tourism sector of London for the past 16 years has given me a lot of knowledge on how to spend your time wisely. As a taxi driver, I meet people from all over the world and have gathered a vast amount of knowledge regarding hotels, restaurants, museums, attractions. Lots of positive and negative which I would be able to share with you.
